Teeple Hall, LLP (“TH,” “us,” “we,” or “our”) is serious about protecting your online privacy.  In this Privacy Policy, we explain how the Teeple Hall, LLP CTA Portal (the “CTA Portal”) collects, shares, retains, and transfers information received from you.  We also let you know your rights.  “You” or “your” in this Privacy Policy shall refer to both you and the Reporting Company you represent as the “CTA Compliance Representative” of such Reporting Company.

We use data received from you to assist you with your reporting requirements under the CTA.  We may also use such data to improve our CTA Portal and its services.  By using the CTA Portal, you agree to the collection and use of such data in accordance with this Privacy Policy.  Unless otherwise defined in this Privacy Policy, terms used in this Privacy Policy have the same meanings as in our Terms and Conditions.

Information of a type or in a form that does not permit direct identification of, or association with, any specific individual is ‘non-personal information.’ Combinations of personal and non-personal information are considered personal information if the combined information can be used to identify or contact any specific individual(s).  Aggregated data is considered non-personal information for the purposes of this Privacy Policy as long as it cannot be used to identify or contact any specific individual.  IP addresses and certain other identifiers may be considered personal information under various local laws; we endeavor to comply with the laws and regulations that are applicable to us.

B.   Usage Data

We may also collect information on how the CTA Portal is accessed and used (“Usage Data”).  This Usage Data may include information such as your computer’s IP address, browser type, browser version, the pages of the CTA Portal that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on such pages, unique device identifiers, and other diagnostic data.

C.   Tracking & Cookies Data

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to track the activity on the CTA Portal and to hold certain information.

Cookies are files with small amounts of data which may include an anonymous unique identifier.  Cookies are sent to your browser from a website and stored on your device.  Tracking technologies used are beacons, tags, and scripts to collect and track information and to improve and analyze the CTA Portal.

TH will retain your Personal Data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy.  We will retain and use your Personal Data to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations (for example, if we are required to retain your data to comply with applicable laws), resolve disputes, and enforce our legal agreements and policies.

TH will also retain Usage Data for internal analysis purposes.  Usage Data is generally retained for a shorter period of time, except when this data is used to strengthen the security or to improve the functionality of the CTA Portal, or we are legally obligated to retain this data for longer time periods.

5.    Disclosure of Data

A.   Business Transaction

If TH is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your Personal Data may be transferred.  We will provide notice before your Personal Data is transferred and becomes subject to a different Privacy Policy.

B.   Disclosure for Law Enforcement

Under certain circumstances, TH may be required to disclose your Personal Data if specifically required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g., a state, federal, or international court or government agency).

C.   “Do Not Track” Signals

7. Service Providers, Processors, and Subprocessors

We may employ third-party companies and individuals to facilitate the CTA Portal (“Service Providers,” “Processors,” or “Subprocessors”), to provide the services of the CTA Portal on our behalf, to perform CTA Portal-related services, or to assist us in analyzing how the CTA Portal is used.

These third parties have access to your Personal Data only to perform these tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use your Personal Data for any other purpose.

8. Log Files

As part of standard protocols, TH servers automatically gather certain information and store it in log files.  This information may include date/time stamp of access, IP addresses, device type, operating system, browser and version, language, log-in details, Internet Service Provider (ISP), referring page, exit page, and other data.

These log files are useful for a number of purposes including helping TH  maintain security, measure relative usage, understand and analyze trends regarding users, server access, load, or server problems, more effectively and efficiently administer the CTA Portal and related software, products, services, and/or communications, and gather non-personal demographic information about our users.  Consistent with the provisions of this Privacy Policy, TH may use the data in its Log Files in a variety of ways useful to its business or to provide better experiences for its users and clients.

9. Social Media

TH may collect certain information from you if you interact with us via social media such as Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), LinkedIn, Pinterest, Snapchat, Instagram, and other such services.  For example, you may be given the option to register for events, take advantage of special offers, receive mailings and/or newsletters, or the like, via your social media account.  The information we receive or collect from such social media, and our ability to collect it, may depend on the social media site, its policies, and its requirements and/or its technology.  We may collect the information you provide from these social media interactions and may use it for various purposes to improve our services or your experience, or to contact you regarding the reason you connected with us or with additional offers in the future.  You have the opportunity to opt out at any time, provided we do not require a means of contacting you to fulfill your request.

10. Analytics

We may use third-party Service Providers to monitor and analyze the use of the CTA Portal.

A. Google Analytics

B. Behavioral Remarketing

 

TH may use remarketing services to advertise on third party websites to you after you’ve visited the CTA Portal.  We and our third-party vendors use cookies to inform, optimize and serve ads based on your past visits to the CTA Portal.

C. Google AdWords

11. Payments

We may provide paid products and/or services within the CTA Portal.  In that case, we use third-party services for payment processing (e.g., payment processors).

We will not store or collect your payment card details.  That information is provided directly to our third-party payment processors whose use of your personal information is governed by their Privacy Policy.  These payment processors adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover.  PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of payment information.

The CTA Portal may contain links to other sites that are not operated by us.  If you click on a third-party link, you will be directed to that third party’s website.  We strongly advise you to review the Privacy Policy of every site you visit.

We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services.

12. Children’s Privacy

Protecting children's privacy is important to TH .  It is our policy to comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998 and all other applicable laws.  Therefore, we restrict our website use to persons eighteen (18) years or older.  We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of eighteen (18).  If we learn that TH has inadvertently collected or received the personal information of a child under the age of eighteen (18), we will take steps to delete such information.

DUE TO THE AGE RESTRICTIONS FOR USE OF THIS WEBSITE, NO INFORMATION OBTAINED VIA THIS WEBSITE FALLS WITHIN THE CHILDREN'S ONLINE PRIVACY PROTECTION ACT (COPPA), AND IT IS NOT MONITORED AS DOING SO.

13. Notice of Compliance to California Residents

Your California Privacy Rights Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, the California Privacy Rights Act, and the California Business and Professions Code:

This privacy policy identifies the categories of personally identifiable information that we collect through the CTA Portal about individual consumers who use or visit the CTA Portal and the categories of third-party persons or entities with whom we may share such personally identifiable information.

TH will never sell or share your data with anyone unless it is legally required to do so to provide the services of the CTA Portal, such as with FinCEN.

 

All information entered into the CTA Portal  for the purpose of seeking legal advice is protected by attorney-client privilege.

Upon any such update to this Privacy Policy, we will let you know via email and/or a prominent notice on the CTA Portal, as well as update the “effective date” at the top of this Privacy Policy.

You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.  Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted on this page.
